Emmanuelle was feeling a little better about her predicament. With Sam working at the cinema all the stress wasn't focused on her shoulders, and it was nice to have a friend around to help keep things afloat. A friend. Emmanuelle never thought she would find herself saying that, not here at least, but it was comfort to know that there was someone out there not willing to judge her and attempt to kill her. While many people had their reservations about living here, Emmanuelle had to be one of the few that did not mind this kind of life. She was doing exactly what she did back home, only this time there was less of a threat on her life and she was in a time where she belonged. Nazi's weren't there to remind her that had much to fear and she didn't have to worry about being found out. She didn't have to fear being caught and she could still do what she loved. Movies were her number one passion... of course, the movies of modern times weren't exactly the movies she would call her all time favorites.
Finding herself a top a large ladder within the lobby, she was busy attempting to tack a large movie ten foot movie poster to the wall as she heard a voice below her ladder muttering about the movies. "Oui, it's just that, garbage." She stated rather bluntly, as she didn't pull her attention from the work was doing on the poster. The title of the movie was plastered across it in large bright shiny letters: SEX IN THE CITY 2. Luckily for her, the cinema was rather empty this evening, considering her ladder was obstructing a few doorways. Pressing on the tack a final time, she leaned back to admire her handiwork. It would have to do, there was no other place for such a large poster to be hung, and she didn't feel like moving around the other ones that hung around the cinema lobby. Lips curled into a slight sneer for a moment as she looked over the poster. It was hideous, but it was policy to hang it up. She would never allow such a poster to hang in her cinema if she had the choice. The movie looked utterly ridiculous on top of that, just by the looks of the poster. This was going to be another flop.
Once she was satisfied by the way the poster looked, she moved her attention to the person who was speaking below her. Blue eyes found the recognizable face of Fredrick Zoller. Eyes went wide momentarily as she immediately felt her heart race in her chest, and suddenly found herself light headed. Head snapped back up as she started straight ahead and closed her eyes, praying that she was just seeing things. "Not here, not now...." She kept praying over and over under her breath. Swallowing slightly, fingers clung to the ladder as she could feel her palms going sweaty.
She couldn't stay up there all day, could she? Inhaling slightly, she found herself breathless with anxiety as she tried to find her options. Maybe she could kick him, and make a run for it? Find Sam? He would protect her from whatever Zoller had in mind. She could just refuse to come down until he went away, but then she ran the risk of him coming up, or even worse - knocking the ladder over. She could... she could... just go down there, act normal and maybe he will just go away? "Merde..." She cursed under her breath as she realized that was really her only option.
Allowing herself to unlace her fingers from the ladder she slowly began to climb down. Her outfit would likely look familiar to Fredrick, it was the outfit she wore when she first met him. Red velvet coat fitted her like a glove, as blonde hair was pulled back from her neck by her beige cap, as a simple pair of slacks hugged her hips. Dark gray button down collared shirt was visible slightly under the jacket as she stuck out like a sore thumb amongst all the 21st century clothing.
