Who: Laura, Gabriel, Marian and eventually Robin
When: After this.
Where: Robin's livingroom
What: Something went wrong when Robin brought Anna back. X was the first to sense it.
Rating: Lowish? will change if needed.
Laura had told Klaus she would remain abed, after the pains she had felt the day before. She wouldn't have guessed the vampire would have cared. Yet, when she collapsed, he had carried her home, and fussed over her-well, as much as a man like him would fuss over a person. She would have honored that promise had Robin's scent turned alarmingly sour. She was nearly sure that the pains she felt was her womb growing to accommodate the three little life forms in it anyway. No they hadn't been so sharp with Logan, but he had only been one baby.
The alteration in Robin's smell had been so drastic that it yanked Laura out of a near dead sleep. At first she had tried to contact him, when he didn't answer... Well, she jumped out of the window, alerted Gabriel, and began following the smell. Not unlike a scent hound, though she did not have to place her nose to the ground to follow.
Laura didn't bother with a key, she quickly jimmied the lock to the front door, the way Tony had shown her, rather than slipping her claw through the bolt and ruining it for any future use. It was a trick that only took a few seconds, once one knew what to listen for.
The scene before her was more than a little upsetting, once she let herself in and found Robin. Green, though faint, was not the usual color for a human. With a few sharp sniffs she knew his body was starting to shutdown, his liver, and kidneys were definitely not functioning as they should have been.
"Robin... your stubbornness..." She couldn't even finish that line. Her voice cracked, and she dare not finish it. She sent out a silent plea for Gabriel to hurry. Laura sat at Robin's head, gentle as if he were a babe, she eased her lap beneath it. One blade slowly slid from it's fleshy sheath, the dull edge toward his skin, she placed it beneath his nose. Her senses were high enough, especially since she was pregnant, that she could hear and smell each breath he took. But being able to see it soothed her as she waited. Her free hand eased through Robin's hair.
"Please... Stay, Robin. I need you, Logan needs you...Marian, and Katie... they need you. God only knows what your sister would do if something were to happen to you." Her voice was soft, as she whispered her plea. Laura wasn't one to cry often. Sorrow was one of the emotions she battled with the most, still. Yet the thought of... Robin getting worse, and not better, of him going away again. It was far to much for her to be able to keep the tears in check.
