She felt him come in behind her. Her Grace was as strong as ever, stronger maybe, even though it was tattered and in agony right now. She couldn't get clear memories of anything except Cas right now, so Gabriel was more of a presence than a person. And his presence was strong. She could feel his Grace more than anything. It filled the room. And her own Grace shrank back for it.
Although not near as hard as her body did. "No!" Anna cried out before he even got close. She pushed and pulled at Cas, both trying to get away from Gabriel and trying to get Cas away from Gabriel. But it didn't last. It was a couple of sharp seconds of pure panic before Gabriel reached for her.
And she crumpled against Cas. Seconds later they were upstairs and Anna was completely limp in bed. Until Gabriel started to pull her Grace out. She whimpered, shoulder blades pressing together and arching her chest a bit. Even magically sedated, it hurt. But as soon as she was finished, Anna whimpered again, sighed, and went still on the bed. For a moment or so more, her breathing was erratic. She was still tense, but at least she was still and sleeping.
