On the walk towards Emma's office, he could feel a very familar prod within his mind guiding him forth to his general destination. Any other person might have become alarmed by the fact that someone was somewhat within their mind. However, that wasn't the case for him. After his time with the blond woman, he was very used to that sort of gesture. It gave him a sense of comfort and he encouraged such actions for quite a while now. In short, he liked when Emma went through his mind in that subtile way. He didn't have to worry about her going too far within there. There were unspoken limits at that point in their relationship. She knew where they were fully and he had trusted her to not go beyond those simple walls unless she deems it necessary to do such a thing. Others might call him crazy or question his better judgement with a woman like Emma around, who had been known for manipulation in the past, but he always defended her. They had an actual relationship that had pasted for quite sometime, especially since he had grown to love her as well.
It took a while for Scott to admitt such grand feelings out in the open. Yes, he had felt it before the actual words had come out of his mouth and it wasn't just one action that made him discover the truthness behind the newly found feeling of love. As a whole, Emma was a remarkable woman in everyway possible. It was easy to become smitten with her at the beginning, but to learn all over again what love truly was, that wasn't something that he expected at all. However, Scott was happy that everything had come down to the point where they had ended up together. A few things in his life he would have changed previously how they would have occurred, but with Emma, he liked the way that everything had turned out.
As the door opened all the way so he could see the beautiful face of his girlfriend, his heart fluttered just slightly. He felt like the boy scout that he was called at times with simple actions of the sort, even though he didn't care for the nickname at times. It was easy to see why he was given such a name at times though. He wasn't going to deny that. Maybe he had stared at her for quite a while, unsure as a whole really, but there were times that her looks had caught him off gaurd. Of course, Scott knew exactly what Emmad had looked like. Every curve. Every birthmark. He had touched them all, but he couldn't help when that shy side had decided to kick in on him. Those were the only time were he could feel himself stray from the thoughtful plan that was formulating within his mind. One didn't have to be a telepath to know that people counted on the great Cyclops to figure out a way to get out of the resort.
"Hrm? Oh," he replied back after that slight pause, before letting out a light chuckle and closing the door behind him. The simple sentence had snapped him back to the present and not engulfed at keeping his gaze upon the woman before him. It wasn't a thing that he let do to him all the time, get lost in the way that Emma presented himsef, no. Scott just couldn't help it that moment. Really. "What can I say? I kinda missed you too much to knock." He took a few steps towards the desk, taking in what the office had looked like. It wasn't like how Professor Xavier had kept his own back at the mansion, but it suited her for the time being. Hopefully, they weren't at that resort long enough for Emma to redecorate.
"Isn't it time for a break? Or at least one for me," he said, feeling the corner's of his lips tug into a smile.
