Scott had been many difference places with the X-men throughout his years within the groups as leader. Some had been pleasureable, whereas a good amount of them actually gave him a run for his money. There were plenty of times were his life was on the line and never faltered from what he had to accomplish at the end of the day; return everyone home safely. He was never going to have another incident were a fellow teammate or someone that he cared greatly about fell during the heat of battle. Never again. The first time was horrible enough to endure, but it never seemed to get easier. It didn't ease the pain after seeing it occur once again either. The more it happened, the more it stung and pushed him down a peg. However those feelings might be, Scott never let that affect his ability to lead the team. He had proven throughout the years that he was capable of his position time and time again. The resort wasn't different. He would make sure that the familar faces returned to the school, or from whatever alternate universe they were from as well. He would make a consious effort to help anyone that needed to be helped as well. Just because they weren't from his own world didn't mean that they weren't trapped along with him.
A plan continued to formulate within his mind, as Scott wandered the grounds looking for Emma. He knew of two places that she might be at the resort, which were either her cabin or at the occupation that she was set to perform during their time there. It did amuse him that Peterson would honestly give his girl a therapist position. She rarly got along well with people. It was a known fact that she rather speak the truth in a blunt way all of the time then sugar coat anything. However, that never really stopped Scott from enjoying her company either physically or within his mind, which she was free to go in there whenever she so desired. Sure, it was a risky thing for him giving the woman so much power over him. It was because she helped him more then anyone would ever know.
Scott had an inkling that the office was a better choice to begin with at that point in the day. Thanks to his wandering about the first day that he arrived, he honestly knew exactly where he was going without looking at any of the maps. It did help that he didn't have to report for duty as secruity within the hotel for a good few hours, which he still wasn't accomplishing the task to the best of his ability and he wasn't sure why a resort that seemed so tranquil honestly needed someone of his calibor as secruity. With a short shrug, he continued to the set destination within his mind, pushing through the proper door.
When it seemed that he was unsure which office was her own, despite not seeing the name plate upon the door. It was the obviously upset male coming out of a room that made Scott know exactly which office was Emma's own without asking. If he had to check in, that was an action that he wasn't sure of, nor did he care. He missed Emma far too much to actually allow any of these people, workers or customers, keep her from him. Placing a hand on the brass door knob, he turned it slowly and pushed it open, tilting his head towards one side as the beautiful woman came in view. "I hope you didn't think you'd be hiding our entire stay here," he spoke when their eyes met, allowing a small smile spread across his facial features.
