Leather was what Laura was most comfortable in. She detested spandex. It would hang untouched in her closet unless she were desperate. She had worked the purple leather corseted, midriff exposing, top, and fitting purple leather pants until they were pliable and easy to move in. The special made boots, bearing a slit so that the claw in her foot could slide out easily, were broken in. The accessories were simply decoration, leather buckled wrist bands, leather buckled choker, and chain belt bearing the X-men symbol on the buckle.
While she waited for her new acquaintance to arrive she went through a few tai chi warm ups. From years and years of being honed into a weapon, she moved with the fluidity of an expert. She was just that. A born killer. An engineered weapon.
The tiny part of her mind that wasn't focused on her exercises wondered if the Facility would ever find her here. If these people were safe from the far reaching arms. Logan wasn't here. That worried her more than anything else. Why were Emma and Scott there when he was not? Why was she here, when he was not? It was harder to deal with the fact that Julian wasn't there. She wanted to bust down the door of the 'manager' and torture him until the questions were answered.
She shifted her full mind back into what she was doing. As one pose ended she felt the familiar warmth, and light prick of pain, as her claws slipped out of her flesh. Two from each hand, between the knuckles of her forefinger and middle, the other between the knuckles of her ring and pinky fingers, one from each foot between her big toes.
She caught the scent of a human close, so he would not surprise her. Turning to face the direction he was coming from, she assumed it was Robin. But it did not keep her from crouching into a defensive stance, just in case it was someone else.
