Bella wiped her hands dry on the sides of her black jeans as she crossed to the table, perching on a seat. She had been planning on going back up to her room now she had eaten, but it felt rude to just walk out and leave him now he was in there too.
"Erm, hi," she said with another small smile. She got the impression he wasn't great at meeting new people either. It made her feel better to know she wasn't alone. Jake would have laughed at her. He was always so good with introducing himself. He had that confident, happy vibe about him that people just took to immediately. Bella, althought she didn't wish she was like that, would have liked his support, especially in a strange place like this.
"How long have you been here?" she asked, lifting her eyes to look over at Pike. She hadn't seen him around the cabin those first few days so, either he had arrived later than Jo and her, or he'd been staying somewhere else.
