WHO: Anna & Dean WHEN: Friday afternoon (before the power goes on) WHERE: outside Winchester-Harvelle house WHAT: probably awkward RATING: low
Anna could handle the heat, but she knew it was getting to Aiden. And despite being locked up in the house, too grumpy to get out of bed, she couldn't handle hearing him fuss anymore. He was clean and dry except for the sweating, he wasn't hungry, he was probably sleepy but it was too hot. The little room they were in was too small. His cries were echoing off the walls. Taking him down to the living room would just make him loud enough for everyone to hear. Not that they couldn't already... with no powers, all her soundproofing was gone... she could hear everything.
Dragging herself out of bed, sweaty and gross, Anna pulled Aiden out of his crib and settled him in the bassinet. She grabbed a blanket and a couple bottles of water. Then she headed outside and spread the blanket in the shade. She probably looked and smelled gross, but at this point she didn't care. At least if they were outside, Aiden could fuss to his heart's content and it wouldn't bother anyone - except his mother, who was at the end of her rope with just about everything lately.
She knew Crowley was creeping around outside the house. Johan still reacted the same to his former master and it didn't take much for Anna to put two and two together. She was going through something weird and new with Petersen, that she knew was just her attempt to get over her current situation with Dean. And then there was all that drama with Laura and Robin that Anna somehow got dragged into. And on top of that, things were weird at the house. Cas and Jo were treating her different. She hadn't even seen much of Dean. Anna just wanted to crawl into a hole and disappear.
Instead she was sprawled out on the lawn in shorts and a tank top, face buried in the crook of her elbow, hoping the breeze would cool Aiden down enough that he could sleep.
