This time of night, after Katie had finally settled for the night, often saw Robin and Marian taking what little time they could to themselves. Tonight, however, Marian was spending some time with Gibbs. She was fond of the older man, and Robin was glad she had another friend here. So it was a simple enough decision to go for a walk. Particularly after his conversation with Laura, which had left him in such a foul mood.
How dare she presume he was prejudiced, toward his own son. He would lay down his life for either of his children. What they could or couldn't do had nothing to do with it. She was the one in the wrong, acting as though she had some greater claim to Logan. He was Robin's child just as equally as he was hers. She didn't have the right to act this way.
His dark thoughts did nothing for his mood as he moved further away from the cabins. Closer to the house Anna was now staying in, now, he noted the silhouette of a figure, in the dimming light. Out of habit, his hand moved to the dagger at his belt, before he lowered his hand. There was no reason to be so wary in this place.
Though as he got closer, he realised who it was, and it was an effort not to react instantly. It may have been his already foul mood, or the simple fact that he hated what had been done to his friend, but thoughts of avoiding confrontation were far from his mind as Robin approached the other man. They were all equals, now.
