"We wouldn't be if it weren't for this place." Ridgeway had it's faults, but she owed her happiness to being here. She could easily say she couldn't get much happier.
"You pretty much stand there and look pretty, but mean. My husband was on the security team for the Ice Room, which was how we met, and that was pretty much what he did. He found it boring." Though she was sure Tony was bored because this place didn't offer much as far as adventure went. And Tony was used to chasing the bad guy, Ridgeway didn't offer much of that. "You'll just have to hear her for a second, and know it's true." Heather was modest, as far as her voice went, but she knew she was good too. If it wouldn't have been impolite to snort as he kissed her hand, she would have. Did she get stuck with another charmer? First Robin, then Allan, then Tony, and Jack.
Just as she was about to answer, he got fresh. Or worse really. Now Heather wasn't a screamer, she didn't give people that sort of satisfaction. Well... Not with torture anyway. She simply gritted her teeth baring the pain of his teeth piercing her skin. She would have never guessed he was a vampire. For one it was daylight... She didn't squirm. She knew that could only make it worse. She didn't want to give him an excuse to rip out her throat. Though the pain, and the shock of it all, didn't keep her from being a smart ass. "You could have asked, you know. I used to donate to the red cross every year."
