WHO: Anna & Crowley (& Aiden) WHEN: Daddy's Day evening WHERE: Crowley's cabin WHAT: the calm before the storm RATING: duno
For the most part, the ghosts were gone. Now and again Anna would see and hear wisps of her brothers, but they weren't the same threat. She still didn't want to take Aiden back, just in case. Everyone said the ghosts were harmless, but Petersen's little tricks rarely acted the same with Anna as they did with everyone else. She didn't want to risk falling asleep or getting distracted for a few minutes and finding one of them trying to do the horrible things that they talked about to her little boy. Better to leave him with Crowley.
But for a little while she could be near him. She missed him so much that her heart ached. Anna fed him first, settling on the bed next to Crowley while she renewed the couple week neglected bond. And then she carried him down to the kitchen. It was father's day. And while she wasn't one hundred percent on this demon as a daddy thing, he'd been (as far as she could tell) fantastic this week. And as long as it was taking him to get used to it, he was doing far better than she expected.
It didn't take much for Anna to figure out his favorite foods, a little drop into his head while they were together always revealed more of himself than he wanted (more of his past, mostly). And while it wasn't easy, it wasn't outside her ability to cook. With Aiden tucked into arm, Anna moved about the kitchen like a busy-body. The lamb was the easy part, the side dishes were what were going to be a bit more involved.
