Surprisingly, it hadn't taken as long as she thought it would have for her to get ready. For her to be ready for this. When she thought the hours would drag, they didn't. They flew. And now she stood just outside the doors. The back of her dress spread just so it would easily glide down the isle without much aid.
A simple rose bouquet clutched in her fingers, just below the blue accent of the front of the dress. Her Choo-shoes, hidden beneath the skirt, held her weight easily as she rocked back on the heal. Her hair, done up in a load of arranged curls, bounced with each rock. Her makeup was a little more dramatic than usual.
She wasn't nervous. She was anxious. Half ready to run down to the end. Why? She wasn't exactly sure. She just knew she wanted to be at the end. She wanted to pounce, tackle and kiss Tony all over his face, leaving behind little red lip prints. But she restrained herself.
There was a teeny tiny part of her that couldn't believe she was skipping all the planning, considering how much she liked doing it for other people. But she'd barely even thought about it. And she knew this was right. She knew this wasn't something she'd ever regret. Knowing if it didn't go this way she'd regret it later. It would definitely be a story for the grandkids.
