Remus listened with approval to her choice of drink. Honestly, he was surprised. He thought women nowadays enjoyed those fruity cocktails, like cosmopolitans and strawberry daiquiris. But Tonks proved herself different from ordinary women in a lot of ways. He enjoyed that about her.
"I think it's brilliant," he said. "I mean, I guess it's because it's a new experience for me, but I still find it pretty exciting." He smiled and looked over at the dance floor, studying the people there. "Are all the songs usually really upbeat and high energy like this?" he wondered aloud. A slow dance near the end of the night would be good. Any excuse to be closer to her for a few minutes was a good thing. The bartender slid their drinks over to them and Remus took a sip of his as he continued to watch the dancers. None of the girls out there were as pretty as Tonks. He looked over at her and smiled a little proudly, thinking he had the prettiest date in the whole bar.
