Who: Columbus and Open Where: Near the Hiking Trail When: Early Thursday Morning What: Going on a hike? Maybe. Rating: Low; will change if need be.
Columbus had started his day out early. Maybe a bit too early for his taste. However, he was used to rising early within Zombieland, so he didn't think much about it here at the resort. Unlike a lot of other's taken from their worlds, he honestly enjoyed being there. There weren't any zombies running a muck in every nook and cranny that he couldn't possibly think of right off the bat. He didn't have to carry his trusty two-barrel shotgun on a daily basis, even though he did at times. The weapon oddly brought comfort when he needed it. Not that he slept with it in his bed like a daily routine. Okay, so maybe he did do just that sometimes. Not couting that week long eventful zombie filled hours at the resort, where his parents looked like zombies sitting out by the lake practically doing nothing, Columbus was enjoying himself. He hardly expected zombies to make an appearence once again. Right?
He even had a job that he enjoyed as well. A hiking guide. Who would have thought that a kid from a family of shut-ins would turn out to be good at that particular job? Columbus wouldn't have guessed it. Well, he wasn't sure if that people honestly enjoyed his tours or they wanted to get a chance to hear his rules for survival. At first, it surprised him that the customers mostly knew the rules by heart. It did take a good while to get used to that fact, but it wasn't something that he let bother him anymore. Besides, the more people that knew his rules, the less likely that they'd become the poor bastard at the side of the road to have their calf chomped into like a juicy steak.
Despite the fact that he was missing one prominant member of his new family, Wichita, Columbus really had the desire to lay his eyes upon her. It almost seemed as though they were about to make a connection back at Bill Murry's mansion before he was swept away into the resort. Not only did he want that attractive girl there for his sake, but more so for Little Rock. He knew she played tough on the outside, but his suspicions of her being afraid within were deemed correct by one little post that she had made. It was obvious that he should have answered her as well, but a slight feeling within him told him that she might not want to hear from him. Heck, he wasn't sure if she was spending time with Tallahassee any longer either. Or at least much.
Finding himself at the beginning of the hiking path, Columbus waited eagarly for someone who might want to join him. It was something that he did all the time at that designated hours that were posted. Not one to be tardy either, if he could help it, he never really was one to disappoint. He didn't want to make anyone feel such a way towards him either. As he glanced across the lake, he reached up his arms high over his head and stretched them upwards, before bending over at the waist to touch the tip of his shoes. "Rule number eighteen, limber up," he spoke out loud towards no one in particular, before starting on a set of squats as well.
