Who: Anne and OPEN
What: Some thoughts
When: Sunset
Where: On the sand
Rating: Low
Status: In progress
She had been ready for death. So ready. Her thoughts had been settled and her confession made, she was prepared to go to the sword with every ounce of dignity a Queen should have. And when the door had been opened it had not been the early sun and the distant sound of the jeering crowd that welcomed her, but the image of some sort of office and birds tweeting in the trees. She should be thankful for this new chance; a second chance to live. And yet she was not. When one is ready for death, life is not readily accepted. Your mind has shut down in a way, preparing to stop working entirely and when you try to tell it to wake and think once more it is slow to do so. Which was why she had came here.
Her feet pressed in against the sand as she watched the water of the lake brush up against it's bank every few seconds. It was calming, and she hoped it would clear her mind or at least clear away the thoughts of death she still had. At least help her wake up and embrace this second chance she had been granted. But after everything that she had been through she had wanted death. She was waiting to welcome it with open arms, embrace it. And yet something she wanted was once more taken from her. She should have expected as such. Parts of her had thought this was all a dream, a delusion brought on by what was about to become. But she wasn't scared, or delusional. She was in complete control of her thoughts whilst she was waiting and her sanity was hers. She had no reason to imagine this.
