Remus loved looking into her eyes as he explained his history; he could tell he had her undivided attention. Nobody had ever listened to him quite like this before. It was so easy to get lost in those eyes. For a moment, Remus had to remind himself what he had been talking about.
"No, they were best friends growing up," he explained. "They lived in the same neighborhood and everything, used to play together as little kids. Mum was a little afraid of him when she found out he was a Wizard, you know, being a Muggle and all it was a little freaky for her at first. And when they got married later, she never told her parents that he could do magic, but the cat came out of the bag during dinner when Dad used magic to help cook in front of them without even thinking about it." He smiled, remembering how his mum used to tell him that story over and over.
