"I'm sure you'll get better as time goes along. It still feels like you've only just arrived," he assured her. He had confidence in her and knew she was more than likely great at her job.
"I hope so," he said before taking a sip of wine. He set the glass down and got into some of the bruschetta. "Oh, did you have anything in mind for Teddy's party yet? Should we just have it at the cabin or something? Although I'm sure we could reserve a place to have it if necessary... I just dunno what he would want. I feel like a bad father for hardly knowing him at all," he said, his smile fading into a bit of a frown. He wanted to spend more time with Teddy but didn't want to intrude or seem like he was trying too hard.
