Daddy's approval Who: Harry, Lily Luna, and Scorpius What: Harry meeting his daughter's boyfriend for the first time When: Tuesday at lunchtime Where: Italian restaurant Status: In progress Rating: Low
Harry didn't feel like much of a father. He was only sixteen, after all, but he had known Lily for a while (at least during his stays at Ridgeway). He wanted to be there for her. Harry felt more like a friend to her than a dad, but he supposed that was all right. He still had no problems with her calling him "Dad," however, as long as she felt comfortable with that. He was going to meet her boyfriend for the first time. Harry had done his best to push away his resentment for the Malfoy family and just think of Scorpius apart from them. He knew that his father and Sirius had given Lily enough grief for dating Scorpius, and Harry didn't want to add to that. And if Lily liked him, how bad could he be?
Harry arrived at the restaurant ten minutes early. He went on inside, got a booth for the three of them, and ordered a drink for himself. Then all that was left to do was wait. And try not to think of Draco or his Death Eater family. He hoped Scorpius did not resemble Draco too much. It'd be easier to like him if Harry didn't have to think about his worst enemy at Hogwarts. But wait, he was already thinking about that. Stop, he reminded himself, and focused on the entrance to the restaurant. They would be here any minute now.
