Listening as Faith talked, Jaz nodded her understanding, because she'd had a similar mindset for quite awhile. But she had to understand that it wasn't simple for him like it was for other people. This was a big damn secret. Jaz shrugged back and watched Faith for a second, listening as she explained why she was upset. It was reasonable. But so was Judas' keeping it secret. As a matter of fact, Jaz didn't think Faith truly realized how important his keeping it secret really was.
"I don't think it's so much a matter of trust as it is a matter of having a million reasons to keep it secret and only a few to tell," she said, knowing that needed a bit more explanation. She crossed her legs at the ankle and looked at Faith squarely when she talked this time, so there was no doubt of how serious he was. "If anyone else had found out? Even by accident? There are angels here, you know? And he's Judas. I don't think it would have ended well for anyone."
Jaz paused when Faith mentioned that she didn't seem surprised. "That's because I'm not. I have this ability. I...sort of, like...well, I sense the ages of vampires. And I sensed that he was really, really old. And could only be one possible vampire," she explained. He'd had no choice but to tell her.
