Jaz frowned. Pride was a dangerous thing. She was the queen of stupid pride. It had just never been thrown back in her face before. Biting her lip, she relaxed her arm and let it fall to her side, leaning against a tree across from where the other girl sat, watching her for a second. She wasn't fine yet. Not by a long shot. But something about her determined stance made Jaz think that they weren't that different. And that she would be fine.
The truth BS that the manager had tried to pull wouldn't allow her to lie about that if she'd tried. Which it seemed she had.
"I feel like this has something to do with a certain vampire's coming out post," she blurted out (god damned truth stuff), putting her hands in the pockets of her jeans and looking at the other girl appraisingly. "Oh. And my name's Jaz, by the way. Because I definitely should have introduced myself by now."
