Anna reached down and grabbed the food that had hit the floor and tossed it into the bag. She pulled out the mixed fruit cup and pulled off the lid. It didn't even phase her that he'd dropped the bun. She didn't even seem to notice more than to just pick it up. Sliding the fruit over, Anna stuck a plastic fork into it for him. "It's called a hamburger. And those are fried potatoes. And you can just pick through the fruit and eat the ones you like and leave the ones you don't."
Anna smiled, reaching out and sliding her fingers through his hair. She'd looked into his past before she'd Fallen, but never this far back. She knew about his wife and his son, and the kind of man he'd been before he was a demon. She didn't know much about his parents or what he was like when he was small, though. If she hadn't already figured out she was in love with him, this would have definitely been the turning point.
