Anna put her arm around Fergus and led him to the living room. She set the bag on the coffee table and flopped onto the couch. Johan was practically bouncing around. "Your parents are probably still at home, Fergus. I'm sorry you don't like it here. It won't be long, I promise. Maybe a week or two." Opening the bag, Anna got out the container and set it out on the table. She stuck her hand back in the bag and materialized a knife where Fergus wouldn't see it and freak out that she'd just used magic. Then she cut his hamburger into four sections and pushed the container toward him. "I know it's a little scary right now, but there's nothing to worry about. You're safe. Your parents know you're safe. And I'll take care of you as much as I can, okay? And when I can't be here, Johan will be. He's a good dog."
