Jaz stopped dead and nearly burst out in tearful laughter when he called her 'm'lady.' Really? She remembered, though, that they were all from different times. And he probably came from a time when that was an appropriate greeting. She smirked and took her hand from where it had been stuffed in her pocket and put it in his - partially amused but partly sort of hoping that he was going for what she thought he was going for.
"Nice to meet you, Caspian," she said, still smirking like an idiot because it was like the renaissance fair had arrived in town. But she paused briefly afterward and looked at him incredulously. "Wait. Caspian? As in, like..." she didn't need to say anything more. It explained the getup. "I'm Jaz," she introduced herself in return, still slightly amused by all of this. "And I think I took a way wrong turn on the trail back there somewhere..." she said, looking over her shoulder at the trail behind her. "I should definitely be back at my cabin by now."
