"Wel-come Pee-wee Her-man, to Ridge-way Re-sort..." Squinting at the paper as though it were made of sunlight, Pee-wee read the words aloud. It wasn't that he didn't understand them - he could read, duh - it was more to do with the fact that it didn't really make sense. And he'd had some crazy adventures at the Playhouse! He'd already spent the last hour or so trying to convince himself that this wasn't all just an elaborate prank. After all, he had asked for something to d -- er, help deciding on activities, but he hadn't even had time to look at the list Jambi gave him yet! So why would the genie also send him to work? That was lame. Really lame.
"...you are not here to so-ci-al-ize with just your co-work-ers though..." He read it in a childish monotone, though he was prepared to insist that he could read just fine; he was just confused. And who wouldn't be? Torn from the nice, comfortable, familiar bright Playhouse and placed in this dull resort? Away from all his friends? If Jambi was trying to teach him a lesson, it wasn't happening. Instead it was working him towards a rather awful panic attack. Or a very noisy tantrum. He wasn't sure which, or even sure of the difference, not that it mattered. All he knew what that, if he wasn't sent back to the playhouse soon, he was going to make a lot of noise. And not the good kind.
Finally tiring of going over the note, he neatly folded it in the angriest way possible before placing it delicately in his pocket. Hopefully the to-d-- er, activity list wasn't as long as it had initially looked...
