Regardless of whether Arthur's descriptions held a certain level of inaccuracy, Robin was impressed. Nottingham had nothing of that number. Being as close to London as it was, the Prince likely thought it unnecessary. Particularly when he could be spending his coin elsewhere, he thought with less humour. "Our forces in the Holy Land were strong, but it was only in London that such numbers existed closer to home," was what he told Arthur.
"My bow," Robin answered his question without hesitation. He knew beyond doubt that that was where his strength lay. He was confident enough in his ability with a sword, could outmatch many that he faced, but it was with his bow that he was unbeaten. He didn't really agree with what Arthur said of his losses. A personal loss was not necessarily a reflection of anything greater, in all circumstances. But he could see how strongly he felt about toe subject, so he let it be.
