This was ridiculous. Adam was pretty sure that getting the urge to hug a vampire was a sure sign that he was losing his mind. And yet, within the blink of an eye the atmosphere seemed to have changed once more and all he could see was no longer the scary monster, but rather a scared girl. It was damn unsettling.
Adam bit his bottom lip and offered a shaky smile. "You know, just the other day, I had this conversation with a vampire and she told me there were freaks like that running around." He looked at her tear-streaked face and sighed. "You lost a lot of blood. Doesn't that make you dizzy? Is there anything I can do for you?" He pondered his words for a heartbeat, then felt he had to clarify things. "I'm not offering to get bitten. Just...help. Can I help you?"
