"Of course doctor will help." Adam put on his most reassuring smile. "That's what they're paid for."
He twisted around to get a better look at her face, but she seemed surprisingly apt at hiding it. She refused to be budged, too. Adam sighed and moved until he stood in front if her. "Jessica, you're losing a lot of blood. You could get dizzy and there could be an infec...wait a moment, what do you mean, you can feel it healing?"
His brows knit together and a jolt of fear ran down his spine. Adam's track record with non-humans was notoriously bad and try as he might, being confronted with the supernatural made him nervous. And curious, damn him. Adam took a deep breath and got a better look at her face. Bloody tears.
He felt his mouth go dry in a beginning panic. Who the hell cried bloody tears? "You...er...your face is...sort of...smudged?"
Failing at finding the right words, Adam resolutely took up his handkerchief and concentrated on what he could do: get rid of those creepy bloody tears. "What are you, Jess?" He asked conversationally, hoping that she didn't pick up on the fact that his heart was beating rapidly and all his instincts told him to run like hell.
