"Doctor won't help." Jessica didn't shake his hand off, but she didn't let him direct her toward the door either. She stayed where she was, exactly how she was. With the way her night was going, she'd move her hand and he'd freak out and run away too when he saw her fangs. Better to keep talking muffled behind her hand and deal with the blood dripping.
"It's okay. It's already stopped bleeding. I can feel it healing now. Just... hurts when it heals." Sometimes more than when it was broken. She'd had enough broken noses and bruises growing up with her father that she'd learned early on just to take the pain silently. Although the bloody tears at the corners of her eyes probably made her look like a monster.
She was a monster. And sometimes it was great and sometimes she hated it.
