"Right." Adam's eyebrows rose. "You've got to see a doctor. With that amount of blood your nose could be broken. And it's got to hurt like a bitch," he added after a moment of thought.
"Come on, let's get you inside and see if we find some towels to stem the bleeding and some ice against the swelling." He put a hand on her shoulder and indicated the door. "The ice should help with the pain, too." Adam tried to recall the things his mother taught him. Ironically his mother, a nurse, had done a lot more to teach him about medicine than any of his professors. Granted, he hadn't gotten too far in his studies. For now, however, Adam's limited knowledge would have to suffice.
