By walking away, Isobel thought she had made it clear that the conversation was over. There was nothing to say that hadn't been said in the letter. She also hoped that by walking away, he got the point that she wasn't begging him to take her back. Writing the letter had been hard enough for her to deal with, especially since her intention was to not go back to him. To have him think that his vampire wife was so weak she would beg him back was unacceptable. While she had no idea if those thoughts were going through her mind, they occurred to her and it bothered her. She really wanted that nap.
She had managed to lay back on her bed by the time he got to her room, and hearing his voice, she pushed herself up to a sitting position against the pillows. Her eyes studied him for a moment. She had always thought Alaric was hot,that just added to it. A smirk crossed her lips, amusement shining in her eyes. "Do you have any idea how hot you are right now?" she asked him.
