"It is an excellent song," Jack said, in response to Jeremy's words. "I've got a deal with them now. They'll sing anything I want. If you want to stop the ones at work just tell them I said it's fine. They'll stop." He wouldn't reveal his secrets. But he knew it would work.
He watched the exchange between Jeremy and the Oompa Loompa with interest, all set to say something when the Oompa Loompa shrugged. He wasn't sure if it was his presence or not. He didn't see the problem with a bit of a drink.
"Awesome," Jack repeated speculatively, eyeing his new companion. "Do you have any tattoos of your own, young Jeremy?"
He nodded along thoughtfully, refilling his glass. "Well," he said suddenly and cheerily, "you won't have to change your way here. You've gone from one small town to another. Lucky for you, I'm here to enligthen you. Don't worry mate, I'm not going to say that to their faces. Just behind their backs," he grinned.
