Jeremy laughed, shaking his head. "Nah, it's fine." He looked over at her, just letting his eyes run over her. "It's nice to hear something normal for once." Even back home, life hadn't been normal for a very long time. Normal had flown out the window the day he'd come home to find out that his parents were dead. Everything had changed that day, and since then, he had had to hold tight to every scrap of 'happy' and 'normal' he could find. Bonnie gave him both.
"My bed's better at home," he said with a shrug. The bed here was fine, but he liked the set up of his room at home, with his desk and computer and the large old windows. Still, he was growing more and more used to being here the longer he stayed, and he definitely thought he was liking it more now Bonnie was back. She seemed different; happier. He was glad about that. He'd hated seeing her sad before. He just wished he hadn't been such an ass to her back then and actually told her he was glad to find her here.
The bar was just up ahead, not too far from the cabins at all, and Jeremy broke into a little jog for the last few steps so he could go ahead and open the door for Bonnie. "If it's crap in here, it's not my fault, alright?" he said with a grin. "It's only just opened. Never tried it before."
