Adam almost gaped at that bit of information. "Really?" He mouthed, eyes wide. There were very few people Adam knew who didn't drink coffee. On the other hand, there were also very few people Adam knew of who were adept at archery. It evidently seemed as if he was going to be forced to change his way of thinking concerning a lot of things in this place. For instance the initial question of "are you human" hadn't even prompted a raised eyebrow. That alone was telling enough.
Grabbing his cup of coffee, Adam sat down. At this particular moment the whole situation once again felt unreal. Not unpleasant - far from it, actually, but doubtlessly surreal.
"Your forest...Sherwood, right? Is there really a Brother Tuck and Will Scarlet and all those people? And you take from the rich and give to the poor?" This felt as if he were talking to a hero who stepped straight out of a fairy tale. Then the hero went on and Adam's eyebrows rose as something in Robin's demeanor clearly indicated that the man was very human after all. Some dark recollection lurking behind the man's words.
Adam sighed. Now that he could connect to only far too well. "Thank you," he said quietly. "I realize things could have worked out quite differently if I'd run into someone else first. I appreciate it." And that would be as far as Adam know how to put his gratitude into words. He wouldn't forget Robin's kindness, though.
