Jeremy shrugged. He could have had it worse. He was really glad to see both Anna and Vicki alive again. If he had to feel a little awkward and guilty in return, so be it. He knew he couldn't keep stringing them both along, keeping whatever there was between them unlabeled, but for now he was just happy knowing they were safe.
Jeremy raised his eyebrows, glancing around. "Isobel's living here?" he asked, suddenly feeling much more on edge. He hadn't even imagined Ric would be put in a cabin with his psychotic ex wife. "Shit... sorry about that. You should ask to be moved or something." He knew Elena and Stefan had moved in together, and he gathered Stefan's friend Lexi had moved in with her boyfriend too. He knew Ric didn't have a girlfriend here, unless Jenna magically popped up soon too, but the manager guy might okay it anyway.
Jeremy looked back and Ric and nodded. "As far as I can tell, they came from right when they were staked..." He looked down, licking his lips. Both times had been, although indirectly, his fault. If he hadn't insisted on seeing Vicki, she wouldn't have been at the Halloween party at all, and he should have stopped the police from taking Anna. He still felt guilty about both of them, even though at the time he hadn't know what was going to happen. "They were already vampires when they died, so I guess that's why they're vampires here."
