Jeremy followed Ric into the living room and flopped down on the sofa. All the cabins had the same layout, so it was pretty easy to feel at home as much in one as another. He'd only been in his own cabin for about a week and, although his bedroom was beginning to resemble his own space, the rest of the cabin was pretty neutral. Someone, Rachel he guessed, had put little girls decorations up here and there, but apart from that one noticable difference, Ric's cabin looked almost identical.
"Woah, you've missed a lot," Jeremy said, raising his eyes at Ric's response. He knew Elena and Damon were from around the same time but, like Bonnie had pointed out, a lot more had happened since then at home. He wasn't sure he'd be able to explain it all. "It might be best if you just watch the show," he said, reaching for the television remote. He stopped, remembering he still had to explain all that.
"Okay, I'm just going to come out and say it... This is, like, an alternate universe or some shit. In this world, we're all fictional characters in a tv show called the Vampire Diaries." He looked at Ric, giving an awkward smile.
Flicking on the tv, Jeremy found The Vampire Diaries and selected one of the episodes with Ric in it; Season One of course. He didn't know if Ric wanted spoilers. He'd been quick to watch every available episode, but Elena had said some people hadn't wanted to watch the show at all. He hit fast forward until he found the part with Ric in it. "See," he said, motioning to the tv screen before handing Ric the remote. "It'll be exactly as you remember it happening, just... on a show."
