"Like I don't have a damn reason to with the way that you treat me!" Anna shifted on the bed. She couldn't tell if her discomfort was a physical side effect of the weight around her middle or an emotional reaction to this conversation. This is a conversation she never expected to have. And now that she was having it, she wasn't sure that she wanted to. She was having a serious relationship discussion with a demon. Somewhere along the way her world had been torn inside out and she wasn't sure how she felt about that. At least they were in the same boat.
Anna slid off the bed and onto her feet. She was still unsteady, but she couldn't sit there any longer. "Maybe if you'd treat me like an equal instead of hiding shit from me all the time, we wouldn't have this damn problem." She paused, a hand pressed to her stomach. "Any of these damn problems."
