Jeremy immediately knew he'd been short, probably a bit rude. He hadn't meant to be. It was just his manner. He wasn't used to chatting to strangers. Besides, he had a lot on his mind these days. Like Anna. And Vicki. And Bonnie. God, he was in such a mess. He couldn't just avoid all of them for ever. Especially as he wanted to see them. All of them. Just not at the same time. He wasn't glad Vicki and Anna were dead at home, not at all, but he was glad they hadn't been around at the same time. Now he had responsibilities and choices. Each of them were with him in their times, and after being dragged here, to have to face him and each other can't have been easy.
"Sorry," Jeremy mumbled across the table at the other boy. "I didn't mean to snap." He looked down at his coffee before lifting it to his lips and taking a sip. It was still too hot. He put it back down again, leaning back in his chair. "I'm Jeremy by the way," he said, introducing yourself. "You guest or employee?"
