Jeremy just wanted to get out of the cabin. Elena was annoying him with all her "be safe" crap. She was treating him like he was a child. He had been through so much in the past year; he didn't need mollycoddling. Still, his excursion out of the cabin wasn't just to stretch his legs. He was hoping he might bump into someone he knew. Vicki Anyone... He'd seen Bonnie and Anna that first night, and there was his chance, and not wholey pleasant, meeting with Katherine, but since then, it had been all quiet on the Jeremy front. He was getting bored. He'd been practising drawing - it came in handy seeing as he was expected to draw tattoos on unsuspecting customers - but there was only so much of that he could do without losing interest. He never used to be like that. He used to be able to sit in his room and draw for hours, his music blasting through his headphones, but these days it didn't seem to satisfy him. He was used to doing something or other exciting with Damon or Bonnie or Stefan. He had just started to feel part of something for the first time in a very long time. He hated losing that more than anything else being trapped here presented. Everyone was happy here, and while he was glad Elena was safe, he missed the exhiliration.
Making his way into Nectar, Jeremy looked around for someone he might know. The place was packed. He'd only really been out around the resort in the daytime, when the guests milled around in groups, seeing the sights and relaxing, hoping to spot their favourite character. He hadn't realised there were a hell of a lot more of them that seemed to emerge when the sun went down.
Sighing, Jeremy made his way to the coffee bar to order. He wasn't really a people person. He liked the people he liked, and he wasn't really in the market for new friends. He'd just grab a coffee and go, before he got collared by any fans who recognised him. So far, there had only been that one girl who'd come in for a tattoo on his first day that was actually interested in seeing him. Most of those who had approached him had only cared about firing questions at him about Elena and the Salvatores. He wasn't really in the mood for talking about his sister right now.
He placed his order for a black coffee when he reached the front of the line, and stood to the side to wait. He wasn't really paying attention to the barista - an oompa loompa who could barely see over the counter - and he didn't realise he'd forgotten to specify he wanted a take away cup until there was a mug sitting waiting for him, complete with a spoon and saucer. Crap, Jeremy thought to himself. He'd have to find somewhere to sit.
Nodding a thanks to the oompa loompa, who had already moved onto the next order, before taking his cup and beginning to meander through the tables to try to find somewhere to sit. A few heads turned as he passed, but no one spoke to him. Every table was occupied. Jeremy frowned. There were a few tables with only a couple of people at them - room for one more - but they were mainly pairs of girls. He wasn't in the mood for girls. His head was still in a mess over the Bonnie/Anna/Vicki situation. His eye was caught by a guy sitting alone at a table for four. He headed in his direction.
"You mind if I sit here?" he asked, stopping beside the guy's table. He didn't like asking, but the hot coffee was beginning to burn his hand through the mug. "There's no other tables."
