Watching him carefully as he entered the cabin, Claire pushed some hair back from her face and walked in farther, grabbing the disc from the case and walking up to the console. "Seems as though a lot has changed since I left home," she mused softly, grabbing her drink and downing the rest of it before she closed the tray and watched as the words crossed the screen. As everything loaded up, she poured herself another glass and turned her eyes to the screen, still very weirded out by all of this.
"Whatever possessed that dude to think this was a good idea, I'm not sure whether to be grateful or pissed off," she chuckled softly. "I guess we'll find out when I finish this."
At least Leon looked like himself, she couldn't help but notice as the first scene played out. She looked at Pike, offering him another weak smile. "That's my best friend Leon, by the way. We met when the zombies first attacked," she explained, figuring she should give him some sort of backstory. She didn't know why she felt like she owed him, but she did. "Long story short, I was looking for my brother, got reckless and he saved my life..." she explained. "Strange way for a friendship to start, but it is what it is..." she said quietly as she noted that Leon was now a federal agent. "Always was too good to be a cop," she smirked.
She used what she'd learned from the manual to navigate around a little bit, blinking in amazement when she realized that these zombies weren't like what she was used to. Not even like the ones they'd encountered there. No, they were actual people. With actual minds. That weren't dead.
"Just when you think these god damned sickos can't get any worse," she seethed, grabbing her drink and downing more of it.
