For the longest time after he'd gone to sleep, Marian had just watched him sleep, watched the stress leave his face, the relaxation take hold. She would've had to be completely stupid not to notice the reek of alcohol, but knowing where he came from, she could understand.
Eventually, though, she drifted off to sleep, as well, only wakening a few times to feed and change Katie. But, sliding back into bed, arms winding around him once more, she felt Robin shift, his face burying itself in the pillows. He was awake-ish.
"Good morning," she whispered, head dipping to murmur in his ear.
