"Marian," she corrected. Just as he didn't like being called Mr. Gibbs, Marian didn't need the title. And, although Marian knew his reputation well, seh couldn't help but hesitate for a moment. This was her child, after all.
He was just trying to help, though and she could trust him if even half of what she'd heard was true. Marian took the proffered coffee, stepping back from the door so she could set it down and transfer Kate over without worrying about the hot liquid.
"Thank you," she murmured, making sure Katie was nestled safely in Gibbs's arms before she picked up the coffee again. She wasn't a huge fan of the bitter drink, but anything that would keep her up at this point was a good thing.
