Talking to Cordelia had been something of a relief to Katherine. With her, she didn't have to wonder how the other person was judging her like she did with Stefan or Damon or even Elena. She could be herself--the new her, that was--and not have to wonder if she would ever really gain this person's trust. Cordelia didn't even seem to know what Katherine's story was about. And honestly, she didn't even seem to care. She'd alluded to doing back things, but Cordelia hung on to the redemption thing. Apparently there was a vampire the other girl knew back home working on the same thing. It gave her hope that this one would really believe her.
That wasn't to say everyone that knew her was being totally discouraging. Truthfully, things had taken a surprising turn after her short reunion with Stefan. Everything he said before seemed to go away after the two weeks they spent together. He could see how heartbroken she really was over him leaving her, and he knew that the things she had said to him during that time were honest. She'd even confessed to things that the old Katherine had denied. She'd wanted to do it right, prove to him she could be right for him this time. So she wasn't right for him, but he seemed to finally believe she could be a friend.
Still, she felt like she could really have fun with Cordelia. Their spa day had gone well, despite the fact that not long after they'd left the spa, Elena confronted her about having bitten Sirius a couple of days or so before. That had really put a downer on her day, but it didn't matter now. Now it was about letting loose and trying to escape the emotions that were coursing through her. To be perfectly honest, she hadn't even felt this much as a human. Or maybe as a human she just had a better handle on them.
She walked into the club, looking for the girl with long brown hair. When she spotted her, she smiled and walked over. "Long time no see," she said with a wink. After all, they'd gone to the spa earlier that same day.
