Pike stared at her for a long moment. Then he just shook his head and sighed, feeling a headache coming on. "We have wizards here. Get one of them to make you a sleeping potion, or just do some kind of sleep spell on you. I'm pretty sure Peterson doesn't want his only maintenance worker working herself into exhaustion." He really didn't want to bring the big guns out.
She was going to see Sam, huh? He was a lot more nurturing than Pike was. He could handle this a lot better than Pike could. "Fine. Go see Sam. But tell him how long it's been since you've slept. Pretty sure he'll say the same thing I did." Or maybe not. Not all hunters were very fond of magic. But he'd at least tell her to get some sleep. And maybe he could play the bad guy. Pike didn't want to deal with that right now.
