Quinn didn't like to show how much giving up Beth had affected her, simply because she was trying so hard to put it all behind her. To regain her status, she couldn't be the girl who cried about missing her baby every day. But there were days that it wasn't as easy to handle. It wasn't just every month on her birthday, either. Those were the major ones, but sometimes it was when she was at the grocery store and she saw a mother with a young child and when she had returned and Anna asked her how her baby was doing--that was pretty hard.
And Puck, showing back up here on this day of all days and immediately resorting to typical Puck behavior, it had been far too much to take. She had to admit that once he realized what was bothering her, he had changed his attitude pretty quickly and for that, she was thankful. She couldn't have dealt with him much longer if he had continued being, well... an ass.
When he wiped a tear away with his thumb, she closed her eyes for a moment to keep her composure. Physical contact with Puck had always been electric, and when he was doing something as sweet as that, it was hard to not give in to everything she felt for him. And there was a lot.
She had reopened her eyes shortly after his thumb pulled away from her face and she looked straight at him when he told her that he got her a few options. "Thank you," she said softly. Her voice had that hoarse tone that betrayed the fact that she had spent the day crying off and on, but her face gave that away as well, so she didn't figure it came as much of a surprise. "I really don't want to see too many people, and my cabin is full, so maybe we should go to my room," she offered weakly. Her room. She wasn't sure she could really handle Puck in her room, but then when he had been there before they had shared a bed, so she didn't really know why it bothered her so much. Because you're with Sam now, she reminded herself, her eyes absently glanced at the promise ring on her finger.
