She wasn't sure she was really up to company. Jo had slept in for the first time in, well, ever, and by the time she'd gotten up, both of her lovers had been gone. They left a note, of course, along with a bowl of cereal and just enough milk for it, and a note that milk should probably be bought that day. The note made her smirk - she had teased them everytime they said something about some kind of chore, until the whole issue of men's and women's jobs had become a running joke for all three of them. After eating her cereal, she had gotten on the network and saw the note from Anna, and when she did, Jo reluctantly responded.
Now she was pulling on a t-shirt and jeans, trying to make herself look at least a little presentable, and resist the urge to run out for a beer before seeing the redhead. They had barely talked since their night together, and Jo hadn't really seen much of Anna since then - partially because of Crowley's hound. She didn't know what was going on between Anna and Crowley, but she resented the fact that she was absolutely terrified to go near the hound and find out. Once she heard it was gone, she'd seen Anna a couple times...until she had been pushed away yet again. It was hard to keep from resenting that, so she decided not to. Why shouldn't it upset her?
When the knock came, Jo dragged the brush through her hair one last time and took a deep breath, then slowly walked down the stairs to the cabin door and pulled it open. "Hi....holy shit." The words escaped before she could stop it, her eyes latched onto Anna's stomach and holding a slightly terrified gleam in her gaze.
