Stefan grinned as she began to strip. She had a wonderful body; just like he remembered all those years ago. He thought back to the day in the pond at Veritas. That seemed like another lifetime now. But this was real. Katherine walking towards him, water splashing as she waded through the lake, looking as beautiful as he could ever have imagined. Who cared how long this lasted? He had her now, and that was what really counted. The Doctor had said live in the moment, and that was what he was doing.
As she neared, Stefan smirked and flicked his wet fingers at her, sending droplets of water flying in her direction, almost daring her to retaliate. The dying sun had turned her skin a beautiful russet red and the water droplets sparkled, running in rivulets back down towards the lake.
