"It sounds a bit...selfish, yes, but at least your truthful. For someone that relies so heavily on lies and manipulation, you've never once lied to me. I believe the encounters I've had with you back home and yielded the same results. I can't say though." She shrugged her shoulders hugging the pillow closer to her chest. "I cant see why you'd make up a lie like Klaus, though. So for now I'm just going to go with the belief that you've never lied to me."
She laid down on the couch carefully, curling into herself protectively as she looked over at Katherine. It felt oddly...soothing to be here with her at this moment. She really didn't think that Katherine was the cold hearted bitch that she claimed to be. Everyone wanted to be loved. While it might be believed that Katherine would have influenced the person that Stefan would have been--Elena believed that Stefan would have influenced the way Katherine would act had they ended up together.
"As bizarre as this sounds, Katherine. I'm on your side. I want you to have their trust. You fucked up--yes--and you really messed up Damon, but I think you could make up for that. I'm going to continue to be your ally and fight in your corner--but I'm going to need your help in trying to mend Stefan and Damon's relationship. You saw how close they used to be--I've only heard stories--I want to be able to see it with my own eyes. So, I need you to help me with that."
