Bella watched Jacob as he cleaned his hands. Everything he did had a loping quality to it, not at all like the way the Cullens' movements seemed so fluid, but lovely just the same. She smiled, chewing on her lip. She couldn't forget what that Sirius guy had told her on the network. It was too soon, right? That's what her well brought up mind was telling her, but whenever she was around Jacob she felt a tingling feeling inside; in her stomach, and lower.
Taking a deep breath, composing herself, she straightened up away from the golf cart and looked down at Jacob's hand. She reached out slowly and entwined her small, cool fingers with his large, hot ones. She smiled, looking up at him. "Ready," she said with a nod. ___________
The walk back to her cabin didn't take long. They didn't talk much, but they didn't need to. Despite the cold weather, it was a sunny day and there wasn't much of a breeze. She knew Jacob wouldn't feel the cold, but it was nice for her that she could hold his hand without shivering all the time. She only let go when they reached her cabin and she began routing in her brown messenger bag for the keys.
Once she'd found them, she poked them into the lock and opened the door for them both. Someone, one of her housemates, had left the heating on, and it was nice and warm when Bella pulled off her brown cord coat. She glanced back at Jacob with a small smile. She could feel her heart hammering in her chest at what she was about to say, but she said it anyway.
"Do you, er, wanna come up to my room. I feel a bit bad for always taking up the living room..." It wasn't the real reason, but it sounded good enough.
