Damien gave a nod, understanding the dislike for reporters. Of course it seemed the same way for some of the other employees that did the same to him but he wasn't going to say that. "Yes, it was that way for me too. People that think they know things, or they just make stuff up for no reason. Sorta used to it." He shrugged.
"Where I come from," he spoke then, explaining, "people don't like things that are different. They think it's evil or bad, or.. abominations, like a freak. Have you heard of the Salem trials? Or the Inquisition, where innocent people were hunted and killed just for being suspected of being different or gifted, without proof? Well.. people in my world were like that. They think the world should be the same, with everyone being regular people." In a way, Damien was telling the truth about that. He felt as much.
"Could it be.. well.." Damien pointed down at the book, which had Harry's name in the title. "That thing about people's lives being in books or films, or even comics. I guess the best thing to do is just grit your teeth, put on a smile, and count the hours until the work shifts end for the day. Fans can be quite obsessive. Maybe.. see if there's a bright side to it, or something? Probably compare it to being a rock star. They have a lot of fans too."
