Damien caught the sarcasm, but nodded in agreement with him. He understood it. And he knew he was right. Though on the other hand, reading about oneself to know future events.. it would probably help in the long run. Especially if anyone he knew should up. But none had so far, so he wasn't so worried. "That's good, that you have family, people close who are good to you," he said with a smile. "Sorry to hear that," he added, about the mother not being alive back home.
"Mine.. well, I don't actually have anyone back home, mostly just friends, but no one close. Never met my real parents, and those that did adopt me.. well. They tried to do much worse than hurt me, before accidents happened and I was alone again. I was.. about five when I was first attacked. Dragged me right into a church and tried to do me in. So if you have family around, it's best to treasure every moment you have with them." He paused then. "I made friends here too. Mostly with the guests, pretty much most of them seem to like me. Even though some may be annoying. Had a few others who were friends too, like Rose, Dorian.. and my best one, Jack. He used to live in my cabin. And one of my roommates Cathy seemed nice too. I actually cooked dinner the other night, though my roommates were welcome to have them, which Cathy did. I also work for Elena at the spa, one time I donated my turkey so she and her roomies could have it. Didn't need it myself, since Jack and his girl invited me over. So what about your job? Do you like it?"
